...there won't be an Aeon party at CascadiaCon. Sorry, but we weren't quick enough on the draw to get our ducks in a row, and other metaphorical nonsense.
The good new is we will be there, and so will many of you, and we're going to do our best to have a meet-up, maybe a breakfast. Watch this space. If we know something, we'll tell you.

Thu, September 1, 2005 - 10:03 AMYeah, we should have got together on this a LOT sooner, but I was out of it when I got back, and our DSL provider thought we'd cancelled our contract, and things just got weird in the communications dept. Whenever the next NW con is, you can be sure we'll be party making as part the Independent Collective. Now if we can just get the rest of the IC to join the IC tribe so we can actually discuus the details...

Thu, September 1, 2005 - 11:25 AMCan I just ask? Who the F@#*! runs a Con on Labor Day anywhere near Seattle when there's Bumbershoot and massive outdoor opportunities to explore? This year I'll be backpacking (and sopping wet from what I hear from the weatherfolks). Sigh. I'll be thinking of ya'll though. Have fun. -

Re: The bad news is...
Fri, September 2, 2005 - 1:05 PMIt's my theory that the people who bid for cons are not part of a large overlapping set with the people who explore outdoor opportunities. Just a guess. Anyhow a Nasfic doesn't come to any community more than once in a dozen years or so, so I guess any who were part of that set just said "What the heck."
We'll be thinking of you while we sip drinks in a snug bar to the accompaniment of rain on the hotel roof. Life is so rough for us indoor types...
