Your Aeon editors will be at CascadiaCon in Seattle and WorldCon in Glasgow this year. Will you?

Bridget McKenna will attend WorldCon in Glasgow, Scotland August 4-8, and would love to meet Aeon authors and readers. Look her up!

We'll be hosting a party at CascadiaCon (NASFiC) September 1-5 in Seattle. Watch this space for details as the date grows nearer. For more on this convention, visit the CascadiaCon website.

Let us know if you'll attend either or both. Aeon authors get a nifty Aeon name badge! :)

Yeah, I'll be at cascadia this year. The silly people actually asked me to be a panelist. Well, there goes the neighborhood!

And a nifty Aeon namebadge? How cool is that?

I'll be running a TTAPress table in the dealers room at Interaction, and even be in two panels (another neighbourhood goes bust).

I hope to see Bridget in Glasgow, and others are, of course, also very welcome to look me up.

Won't be going to CascadiaCon (although invited to help promote Northwest Passages: A Cascadian Odyssey), as I simply can't permit it financially, especially right after Interaction. Maybe Joseph can impersonate me at Cascadia?

Hey, normally I have no problem doing impersonations (though the interpretation might not be exactly what you'd expect), but I think I might have a problem pulling off that "I just read over a million words of slush fiction in a month on my pda" look of Jetse's though.

Dude. You're just plain sick. May you one day recover enough to join us amongst the living. Or sane, for that matter. :-)

After more than 10 beers that look comes naturally...

And talking about sick: I thought only Jay Lake could sell 40 stories in less than 6 months. Man, I write less than half that in a full year, and a good one at that.

        ;-)

CascadiaCon will be my first con as a full-fledged Seattleite, so I'm doubly looking forward to it. Although that had better not be the first time I see you when I'm there. (Moving date: July 1.)

I'll be at Cascadia this year. I booked my flights and hotel today (I left it until the last minute).

I will be attending the launch party for "Northwest Passages: A Cascadian Odyssey" on Friday night since I have a story in the antho. I hope to get one of these "nifty name badges" you mentioned. I'll only be at the con on Thursday and Friday.

I'm coming (and dragging my husband and 11-month-old daughter in my wake. *L*)

Anything you need from Sequim? ;)

What *does* one request from Sequim? Personally, I'd like them to remove the "e" from their name so people know how to say it, but that's just me.

      ;)

*L* Well, we're the lavender capitol of North America (personally, the stuff makes me sneeze) and there's quite a bit of tribal art, salmon and dungeness crab about.

I personally indulge in quite a bit of jam-making, this time of year. :)

I LOVE lavender. Looks like I'll have to revisit Sequim in light of that information, and try out some of the local stuff.

We have a Lavender Festival every year (early summer) so you should come over and and tour all the farms and see the street faire... :) I am a fan of the lavender-peach ice cream myself. *G*

Oooo, lavender-peach. That sounds really good. Better than the garlic stuff you get down here....

I thought Sequim *was* spelled Squim.

              Hungry and confused--

We moved to the land of weird names... I still don't know how to pronounce Puyallup. ;)

One coffee place in town ordered special ice cream for the festival and still has some in the case (I guess no one was going for the lavender chocolate... what the heck is wrong with those people? *G*)

We never did make it to Gilroy for the festival when we lived in Southern California, but I hear you could smell it for miles!

"I hear you could smell it for miles!"

Honey, you can smell GILROY for miles, never mind the time of year. I useta get hungry just passing through.

And I would SO eat Lavender Chocolate... Hello? Ben and Jerry's?

pyoo-AL-up. Makes even less sense than S(e)quim.

Luckily my husband works in Port Angeles. That's much more pronouncable.

I'm thinking now that we might have driven near Gilroy on our way home from ConJose. All I know is that I was functioning on less than six hours of sleep TOTAL over the four days I was there and I started hallucinating that we were eating Italian food. *G*

Howdy! Nasfic in a few days! Any word on AEON events? Looking forward to seeing everyone!

Oh, and for those who are interested, I'll be reading my 24-hour Writers of the Future workshop story "Making My Entrance Again With My Usual Flair," on Friday at High Noon.

    I'm told it's a funny one.
